DCIS2017 will be held at the building of the "Escola d'Enginyeria de Barcelona Est (EEBE)" a recently created Faculty of Engineering in the new UPC Campus Diagonal-Besòs. Located at the north-est of the city of Barcelona (see map) in a near to sea scenario it is 20 minutes far from the city-center. It is linked with the city, airport and main train station through convenient public transport services  (underground, tramway and buses) as well as taxis and close motorways. At few meters of the faculty a public parking can found. In the following lines we show some guidelines for arriving to the site.

 Arriving to the conference site from the city by public transport

Barcelona has a convenient network of public combined transport (metro, bus, tramways). A general map and description can be found here. The more convenient public mean to get the faculty building if the tramway line T4 stop "Campus Diagonal-Besòs". The tramway is connected with 2 stations of metro L1 (red line), four stations of the metro L4 (orange line) as well as tramway T5 and T6 and local trains network. The site of the conference is also at a walking distance of the metro station  "El Maresme i Forum" of the metro line L4.

Arriving to Barcelona and the conference site from the airport

From the airport by taxi: Estimated taxi fare is 35€ to the center of the city and 40€ to the conference site.

From the airport by public transport: There are two terminals in the airport of Barcelona, T1 and T2. Both are continuously inter-connected by bus shuttles. T1 is connected to the Barcelona metro network through line L9 (orange line). T2 is connected to central train station (Sants station) by train (line R2). Both terminals are connected by bus shuttles to the center of the city (Plaça Catalunya), Aerobus1 and Aerobus2

Barcelona Sants Station is connected with the local train network as well with the green (L3) and blue (L5) lines of the Barcelona metro network. Arriving to the conference site by train is also possible.

Arriving to the conference site by car

It is convenient to use public transport in Barcelona, but if you prefer to use your car Barcelona  city has a loop of fast motorways B1 in the mountain side and B2 in the litoral. Exist 25 of B2 goes directly to the conference site (see map). You will find public parking facilities near of the building.
