Instructions for IEEExplore

Authors of a selection of the papers presented in the conference are invited to submit an IEEE compliant PDF for publication in IEEExplore. Selected authors shall receive an email confirming the invitation before 27 January 2018.

Here are the instructions to prepare the paper for IEEExplore. The PDF must include the copyright notice corresponding to DCIS 2017 on the first page, and then it must be checked for format using PDF eXpress. Please follow instructions below:

Before creating a PDF

  1. Make sure your paper uses the IEEE double-column format using IEEE Conference Proceeding templates.
  2. Proofread your source document thoroughly to confirm that it will require no revision.
  3. Add the copyright notice to the bottom of the first page of your source document as explained in item 4. below. If necessary, contact Francesc Moll at francesc.moll (a) for the appropriate copyright notice.
  4. The appropriate copyright clearance code notice is to appear on the bottom of the first page of each paper per the guidelines set forth in the Cataloging / Copyright Instructions for an IEEE Conference Proceedings.
    • For papers in which all authors are employed by the US government, the copyright notice is: U.S. Government work not protected by U.S. copyright
    • For papers in which all authors are employed by a Crown government (UK, Canada, and Australia), the copyright notice is: 978-1-5386-5108-7/17/$31.00 ©2017 Crown
    • For papers in which all authors are employed by the European Union, the copyright notice is: 978-1-5386-5108-7/17/$31.00 ©2017 European Union
    • For all other papers the copyright notice is: 978-1-5386-5108-7/17/$31.00 ©2017 IEEE

Creating your PDF eXpress Account

  1. Go to IEEE PDF eXpress Website
    1. Create an IEEE PDF eXpress account (use conference ID: 43760X)
    2. Use 'new user' if you haven't used this site before.
    3. 'Previous users' of PDF eXpress need to follow the above steps, but should enter the same password that was used for previous conferences. Verify that your contact information is valid.
    4. Use IEEE PDF eXpress to check if your PDF file is Xplore-compliant (recommended), OR, else, you can use this site to convert your source files into an IEEE Xplore-compliant PDF file (e.g., for LaTeX users, create a zip file that includes dvi and your eps figure files all together, and then upload the zip file for the system to convert into a compliant PDF file; for MSWord users, upload the Word file and let it convert and return a compliant PDF

Generating qualified PDF

  1. Follow the system instruction to complete the process
  2. Don't forget to download the qualified PDF file for later submission.
